The wheel turns. A new Year

Never thought I'd be so happy to hear rain, but after so much snow and cold, we're delighted! The most wonderful thing about the snow and the general state of affairs seems to be that many folks are sticking to basics. Few gifts, just spending quiet time with family.
Most sensible critters quiet down, rest and restore during these dark cold times. I always feel inclined to do the same. After one of the most challenging years of our life, we are grateful for this slow quiet time to relax, reflect and plan for the new year.
Wishing one and all a happy, prosperous new year.
